Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WheelDesk (“we,” “us,” the “Service”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address, a hashed password and/or your chosen social login, and two-factor authentication enrollment details.
• The data you enter. The options positions, trades, premiums, and notes you type or import into the dashboards. You control this content; it is stored privately and tied to your account.
• Brokerage data you connect (optional). If you use broker auto-sync, our brokerage-connection provider (SnapTrade) retrieves read-only data from the brokerage accounts you choose to share: positions, balances, and transaction history. Your brokerage username and password are entered with your broker or SnapTrade — we never see or store them. We store only a connection identifier and the synced positions/balances/transactions, which become part of your dashboard data. The credential (token) that authorizes the connection is held server-side in our database and is never exposed to your browser or to other users. Connections cannot place trades, and you can remove a connection at any time in the app.
• Billing information. If you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We never see or store your full card number. We retain only a customer reference and your subscription status (e.g., trialing, active, canceled).
• Technical data. Standard server and security logs (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) generated by our hosting and service providers to operate and protect the Service.

Public-records data (the Politicians tab). The congressional trading information shown in the Service comes from publicly available STOCK Act disclosures published by the U.S. House Clerk and the Senate eFD system, combined with market prices from Yahoo Finance. This is public-records data about members of Congress — it is not personal information collected from you, and it is the same for every user.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account.
• To store and sync your dashboard data across your devices.
• To process your subscription, trial, and payments.
• To communicate with you about your account, security, or service changes.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

3. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or the financial data you enter. We do not use your trade data for advertising.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted processors who handle data only to provide their part of the Service:

5. How your data is protected

Each account’s data is isolated using database row-level security, so one user cannot access another user’s data. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), accounts support two-factor authentication, and payment card handling is delegated to Stripe (a PCI-compliant provider). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you securely signed in (set by Clerk) and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Data retention and your choices

We keep your account and dashboard data for as long as your account is active. You can edit or delete the data you enter at any time within the dashboards. To delete your account and associated data, or to request a copy of your data, contact us at support@wheeldeskhq.com. We will retain limited billing records where required by law.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

9. International users

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such processing.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
